The Author

Kahn leads a very hectic life, juggling the responsibilities of a dutiful father and husband, a writer, gardener, botanist, amateur DIY enthusiast, and an avid rambler. As if all that wasn’t enough, he now plans to add amateur astronomy to his repertoire and is looking to install a telescope in his backyard.

In the past, he successfully maintained two ant farms, and kept an American red-eared terrapin. In his early teens, he dug a pond in his back garden for the neighbourhood frogs and newts, though only managed to attract swarms of mosquitoes. He also kept tank loads of tropical fish and briefly, the school hamster, which much to his embarrassment did a runner. Later, he managed to rear over two dozen Rhode Island Reds, which kept the family well stocked in fresh eggs. Currently, he has two beautiful cats, one of which frequently goes AWOL for months at a time.

Kahn utilises all these varied life experiences and skills to craft his books, which are an eclectic mix of the funny and the spooky. His collection comprises fantastical tales for the young and not so young reader alike. So, whatever your preference, you can rest assured his works offer a cozy rather than a terrifying experience, being more Scooby Doo than Freddy Krueger. And because all of his books are clean, they can be enjoyed by everyone without the fear of encountering any unpleasant or embarrassing surprises.

It is rumoured that Kahn is averse to all signs of modernity and lives the life of a recluse, inhabiting a small garden shed at the bottom of a mossy lane. This is partly true, and someday he plans to live entirely off-grid (while retaining Wi-Fi access and the use of his MacBook).

Kahn’s newest release is a novel for children, entitled Little Mouse With The Big Mouth. It is a chapter book for kids aged 7-10 years and older, and is a fun action adventure story centred on honesty, friendship, bravery, and selflessness, mixed with heart-thumping danger. He’s sure you and your young ones will love it.
